Honoring a lifetime of Mentorship

Sharon Dunwoody led a life of unparalleled mentorship. Sharon’s influence extended far beyond teaching and advising undergraduate and graduate students in her classes. She had an uncanny ability to sense exactly where people were and to meet them there to help guide them along. Her guidance helped thousands over the years – from a science journalist trying to improve her work to a novice conservationist trying to learn the ways of woodland creatures. This site is dedicated to taking in and sharing the stories of all manners of Sharon’s mentorship. We encourage you to share a story, and we will publish it here as a lasting tribute to a woman of tremendous accomplishment and even more heart.
